Many of you might be wondering what it means to do a “styled session.” For those of you who could care less, bear with me. Before I go on to explain what a styled session is, let me explain my role in design as a coordinator.
When a client books me, they generally have an idea of what they want their wedding vision to look like. Lots of brides have Pinterest boards, loaded up with wedding day inspiration. These inspirational photos can be used as a guide, or for many, mimicked exactly. So on wedding day, I get to take all of the decor my bride gives me, along with the decor directions, and create the wedding she has always dreamed of. A lot of times, I get to make suggestions, but I am mainly following the bride’s creative ideas.
At a styled session, I get to be the creative. I get to collaborate with several other wedding professionals to create our very own, unique wedding theme. The goal here is to generate images that brides look at and feel by inspired by. (How do you think all of those photos on Pinterest got there?)
For this styled shoot in particular, we wanted to create something that was trending, yet unique. Green is the big thing now – greenery in your florals, your stationary, your details… in EVERYTHING! When your wedding is held in a quaint little garden, you can embrace ALL of the greenery! Take a look at what we came up with. Enjoy!
